Animal Consciousness and Dietary Choice: Eating with Awareness

REL-036 Beginner · B
Bashar addresses the question of eating animals from a consciousness perspective. He teaches that all animals are conscious beings, but their level of self-awareness differs from humans. Eating meat is not inherently 'wrong' in an absolute sense; it is a choice that carries vibrational consequences. Bashar explains that when an animal is killed in fear, the meat carries that fear frequency, which is then ingested by the consumer. Conversely, when an animal is raised and harvested with respect and gratitude, the vibrational impact is very different. He does not preach vegetarianism but encourages dietary choices that align with the individual's frequency and values. He notes that as humanity evolves, many will naturally move toward plant-based diets because higher frequencies resonate with lighter foods. However, the transition should be joyful, not forced. The key question is not 'What should I eat?' but 'What does my body truly need, and can I consume it with gratitude rather than guilt?' Bashar also mentions that plants are conscious too, so even vegetarianism does not eliminate the responsibility of honoring the life that sustains you.
