(a binary that creates unnecessary polarization), he suggests asking: (1) Is this information internally consistent over time? (2) Does it empower the individual or create dependency? (3) Does it provide practical, testable principles that produce results when applied? (4) Does the entity demonstrate respect for free will and individual sovereignty? (5) Is the information offered with humor and compassion rather than fear and urgency? Bashar explicitly welcomes skepticism as a healthy filtering mechanism but distinguishes it from closed-minded rejection. He encourages testing the principles in one's own life before accepting or rejecting the source. The ultimate criterion is pragmatic: does applying this information make your life work better? If the answer is yes, the source is serving you, regardless of its ontological status. If the answer is no, set it aside without judgment.
