The Six Health Points (1): Deep Breathing and Oxygenation

HEALTH-011
Bashar identifies deep, conscious breathing as the first point of physical well-being.
Bashar identifies deep, conscious breathing as the first point of physical well-being. Most people breathe shallowly due to stress and posture, leading to chronic oxygen deficiency. Bashar recommends: breathe in for 4 counts, hold for 4, exhale for 4, hold empty for 4. This box breathing oxygenates the blood, alkalizes the body, and signals the nervous system that you are safe. Oxygen is the primary fuel for cellular metabolism; without adequate oxygen, cells shift to anaerobic metabolism which produces lactic acid and inflammation. Bashar connects this to belief work: shallow breathing is often a physical manifestation of the belief 'I must always be on guard.' Conscious breathing interrupts the fight-or-flight loop and restores parasympathetic dominance.
