Power Dynamics: The Illusion of Control and True Empowerment

REL-015
Bashar teaches that most human power struggles are based on the illusion that power is external and finite.
Bashar teaches that most human power struggles are based on the illusion that power is external and finite. The belief 'if you have power, I do not' creates competition, domination, and submission patterns. True empowerment, in Bashar's framework, is the recognition that power is internal, infinite, and non-competitive. When you are fully empowered, you do not need to control others because you are already the creator of your own reality. The need to dominate is actually a symptom of powerlessness—a compensation for the feeling that you cannot control your own life. Bashar addresses both sides of power dynamics: the disempowered who attract dominators (because their belief in powerlessness creates the mirror), and the dominators who are desperately trying to fill an internal void. The solution for both is the same: return to self-creation. 'When you know you are the source of your reality, no one can take your power, and you have no desire to take anyone else's.' He advises examining where in your life you feel powerless and applying the four steps to change that belief.
